Rotary Club helps construct quake-hit school building

Phalebas (Parbat), March 6: The Rotary Club of the Himalayan Gurkhas has supported for the construction of a quake-hit school building at Ranipani, the southern belt in Parbat district.
The Rotary Club of the Himalayan Gurkhas spent Rs 1.56 million for the construction of a two-storied building of Janata Primary School which was damaged after the Gorkha Earthquake.
School Headmaster Gyan Prasad Parajuli said that the Club helped construct the concrete building as the students were obliged to take their classes under the open skies after the quake collapsed the school classrooms.
Meanwhile, three more classrooms have been added to the school with financial support from the District Education Office, Parbat. It is said that the building was built with the investment of Rs 2.65 million doled out under the title of school reconstruction of the government. Of the total amount, the Office provided around two million rupees while remaining other amount was collected from the local resources.
