Beni (Myagdi), March 9: Property worth Rs. 10 million was destroyed when a fire broke out inside the Balmandir foundation school in Dandakhet of Beni municipality-14.
In the incident that took place on Wednesday night, a two-storey building of school was completed gutted. The administrative block, computer lab and library in the first floor were burnt to ashes in the fire, according to school teacher Ram Prasad Sharma.
The fire that began at around five in the late afternoon was put out with joint effort of locals and police at around 9 in the night. The reason behind the fire is being investigated while the full extent of the damage caused is being calculated, police said.
