TU Rampur Campus resumes classes after six years

Chitwan, July 8, The Tribhuvan University (TU) has resumed the operation of classes at Rampur Campus after a hiatus of six years.
Rampur Campus saw the disruption of classes since the government decided to transfer the ownership of public land and structure located at Rampur in western Chitwan to the Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU). The Rampur Campus which was closed due to land ownership dispute between TU and AFU has officially resumed its academic delivery at Khairahani Secondary School in eastern Chitwan today. Resuming the operation of TU Agriculture Campus, TU Vice-Chancellor Dr Tirtha Raj Khaniya expressed happiness for the resumption of academic activities of agriculture faculty on the collective efforts. He said that TU’s best agriculture campus will be established in the district as the government has already initiated a process to hand over the land to TU at Kankalai community forest in Bhutiya of Chainpur for the purpose.
