5.5-magnitude earthquake hits SE Turkey

ANKARA, March 2 (Xinhua) — A 5.5-magnitude earthquake hit Turkey’s southeastern province of Adiyaman on Thursday, announced the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).
The quake occurred at 2:07 p.m. local time (1107 GMT) and aftershocks followed at magnitudes of 4.2 and 4.4.
The earthquake’s epicenter was in the Samsat district of Adiyaman at a depth of 11.3 km, according to AFAD.
There were no immediate damage or casualty reports.
