Kathmandu, May 4 (RSS): Manoj Lamichhane has been re-elected the chairperson of Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) Employees’ Association.
The general assembly of the Association on Friday unanimously elected a 15-member new working committee under the chair of Lamichhane.
Other office-bearers elected are Kedar Prasad Timilsina (vice-chairperson), Pabitra Guragain (inclusive vice-chairperson), CB Adhikari (general secretary), Kumar Chaulagain (secretary), Chhabilal Kumal (inclusive secretary) and Pramdo Karki (treasurer).
Among the working committee members elected are Maina Thapa, Jeevan Bhandari, Yadav Gotame, Sher Bahadur Singh, Narayani Rajaure, Birendra Kumar Karna, Mohammed Sadrul and Shambhu Yadav.
Earlier, various speakers putting their views in the inaugural session of the assembly pointed out the need of Association’s constructive role for the managerial improvements of RSS.
On the occasion, RSS Executive Chairperson Kulchandra Wagle called for all to put coordinated efforts to improve service delivery of RSS.
Likewise, RSS General Manager Opendra Sharma urged the employees’ organizations to focus efforts for further institutional improvement of the news agency by realizing both rights and responsibilities.
Also speaking on the occasion were deputy general manager Surendra Bahadur Nepali, FNJ central secretary Sheetal Prasad Mahato, RSS board member Yekraj Pathak, chief editor Raju Shakya, FNJ RSS Chapter Vice-chair Mohini Mishra and chairperson of National Employees Organization RSS Prem Prasad Upadhyay.
