President’s call for immediate treatment of survivors

Kathmandu, April 1 (RSS): President Bidya Devi Bhandari has drawn the attention of the authorities concerned towards making immediate arrangement for the treatment of the people injured in the heavy storm in Bara and Parsa on Sunday evening. Issuing a statement here today, she has also expressed profound sorrow over the huge damage caused to human life and property, and extended heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family. She has wished for speedy recovery of those injured in the incident.
In her statement, the President has also emphasized on the need to adopt strong measures of disaster risk reduction and adopt precaution to minimize damages caused by natural calamity like floods, landslides, storm and fire.
In a similar statement, Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun has expressed the confidence that the government would give special attention to rescue and treatment of the injured, and relief, rehabilitation to the survivors. He has also hoped for support from all Nepali brothers and sisters at home and abroad to those affected by this unprecedented scale of natural disaster.
