Nuwakot, March 15 |(RSS): A birthing centre has been brought into operation at Manedanda health post in Kispang rural municipality-5.
The centre has been brought into operation to ensure citizens’ access to health services, shared Kispang rural municipality chair Chhatra Bahadur Lama.
“There was a compulsion for pregnant and expectant mothers to approach distant health facility in absence of birthing centre at previous Manakamana VDC”, said Lama.
The rural municipality has invested its internal resources to run the birthing centre.
Nepali Congress leaser and member of the House of Representative Bahadur Singh Lama Tamang had donated four ropanis of land for the operation of birthing centre.
