Ranjha, Jan 12 (RSS): A youth has been brutally murdered in Kohalpur of Banke. The dead body of Deepak Singh Thakuri of Simta rural municipality-4 in Surkhet was found today in an open ground near the bus park at Kohalpur municipality-11. It is learnt that the man was in the town to try his luck with the Nepal Police. As narrated by the Area Police Office, Kohalpur’s Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ramesh Bahadur Singh, the incident might happened last night and the body was found with its throat slit.
Thakuri, according to his relatives, arrived here to test his competency to enter the Nepal Police and he reportedly handed Rs 150 thousands to an unidentified person, who promised him of an unofficial help to join the police administration. He left the home Friday stating that the same person had called him to meet. Investigations into the case are going on with the help of sniffer dogs, DSP Singh said.
