Kathmandu, April 15 (RSS): The Tourism Promotion Department and Nepal National Tourism Entrepreneurs Organisation of CPN (UML) have submitted a demand charter along with suggestions to the government. A team under the leadership of Department In-charge, Surya Thapa, submitted the demand charter to Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari on Sunday.
The 165-point document incorporates establishment of Tourism University and formulation of tourism-friendly policies to give status of national industry to tourism sector.
Similarly, the charter also urged to open tourism business round the clock in Thamel of Kathmandu, Lakeside of Pokhara, Sauraha of Chitwan and Lumbini as well as to take effective initiatives to make Kathmandu a dust and pollution-free city.
