Dhangadi, April 2 (RSS): Kathmandu Goldens defeated Rupandehi challengers by 63 runs in the match held today under the Dhangadi Premier League twenty20 championship.
Batting first after winning the toss at the federal police unit office ground, Kathmandu posted a total of 186 runs at the loss of four wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Sunny Patel top scored for Kathmandu with 48 runs while Suboth Bhati contributed 42.
For Rupandehi, Amar Singh Rautela, Bikram Bhusal and Sufayan Mehammod took one wicket each.
In reply, Rupandehi was limited to 123 runs only losing all wickets in 18.4 overs. Pradip Aire scored 57 runs in 41 balls and Sagar Pun scored 14 runs. However, there was not much contribution from the remaining batsmen. Rasheed Khan of Kathmandu took four wickets while Lalit Narayan Rajbansi took three wickets. Sunny Patel was announced the ‘player-of-the-match’ winning a cash prize of Rs. 10,000.
