Biratnagar, March 15 (RSS): Nobel Teaching Hospital Proprietor Dr Sunil Sharma was awarded here on Wednesday in recognition of his contributions to the health sector.
On the occasion of its seventh anniversary, the New Shrishti – a media outlet brought out from Biratnagar – feted Dr Sharma.
Noted comedian Haribamsha Acharya handed over a letter of felicitation with cash prize Rs 9,999 and shawl to Dr Sharma.
The Nobel Hospital extended contributions to the health sector by providing free treatment to more than 50,000 patients during the period of a year lately, shared Publisher and Editor of New Shrishti Editor Shanker Kharel.
After the felicitation, Dr Sharma commented that the honour and award inspired him to contribute more in the health sector.
Also speaking on the occasion, Nepali Congress leader Dr Shekhar Koirala and Biratnagar Metropolis Mayor Bhim Parajuli pledged to accelerate the development of Biratnagar by making it a permanent headquarters of Province-1.
